The base of her cuisine is built on the use of the diversity of the state's products, she works directly with local producers seeking to recover the sustainability of the Oaxacan countryside. She is the founder of the Slow Food Oaxaca movement, as well as of the Meeting of Traditional Cooks of Oaxaca, she belongs to the worldwide network of terra madre cooks, she is a Delegate of the Conservatory of Mexican Gastronomic Culture. She is in charge of the group of Traditional Cooks of Oaxaca and her great passion for the cuisine of her state earned her the 2012 National Regional Cuisine Award, in 2018 she was recognized by the GOURMET AWARDS Travel + Leisure Mexico for her career as a Traditional Cook. Her most outstanding achievement is to contribute her work with traditional cooks by achieving the three meetings that have been held in Oaxaca, which serve to transmit the knowledge of master cooks to the community knowing the kitchen of the past, leaving as a result an unpublished book, Oaxaca and its Cooks, Mexico's Gastronomic Treasure, which will undoubtedly be an invaluable inheritance for future generations, in addition to the important empowerment achieved by the participating cooks, who are currently recognized for their knowledge and culture to the world.
